Three Most Popular Types of CV (Curriculum Vitae)

Three Most Popular Types of CV (Curriculum Vitae)

Dear Job seekers, Today we are discussing the different Types of CV. The three mos popular types of CV are below:

Chronological CV:
Summary of chronological type is made on a "first things first." Lists jobs and duties that you performed. Description of employment history in reverse chronological order to demonstrate your skills and strengths in the most favorable light.

Work experience, education and so on are listed in reverse chronological order (ie starting with your most recent job);

Briefly describe your experience, highlighting the achievements and skills;
Prefix resume summarizing ("summary") of your experience.

Use a chronological resume type if:

you want to get a position in a field where you have a steady and impressive progress.
last place of work - is the strongest side of your work experience and you are going to continue to engage in this activity.

The following chronological summary of the types of cases can put you in a bad light:
you are going to change careers and go to work in another industry, not related to previous activities.
Lately you are always busy looking for work and for most jobs, you're going to speech better in your resume, you have worked for no more than a year.
in your work biography many significant periods of time when you did not work for various reasons.

A functional Resume:
Summary of functional type represents your skills, experience and achievements. Where and in what time period you have worked or passed over in silence, or is described in very general terms.
Information supplied by "thematic groups" (eg, leadership / management positions, organizational skills, professional achievements) that is directly relevant to the job you want;
Dates are usually excluded to highlight your experience, not a sequence of events.
Recommend using this type of resume if:
you have little to say about a previous job, and you are applying for a series of post
you return to this field and the field after a long break
strictly chronological order of presentation of your experience will work against you
you have worked in different places, but this work does not reflect your career
So, a summary of the functional type focuses on the achievements of your employment and you can hide the "hole" in your working life. However, it should consider the fact that many employers are therefore resume with some suspicion. Of course, very important for the employer of your accomplishments and strengths, but they would like to see "the process of its development." Therefore, a functional resume is particularly needed in the cover letter.

Combined CV:
Summary of the combined type, not only demonstrates your qualifications and achievements, but also allows you to get a clearer idea about the history of your working life.
Usually consists of two parts: a description of the experience of "thematic groups" and a brief description in chronological order of experience, education, etc.;

This summary allows you to emphasize the experience directly related real position and needs of the real employer.

Summary of the combined type is useful if you are in one of the following categories: seek career change and want to emphasize their general training and qualifications and not to indicate any specific professional responsibilities which you had to deal with in previous jobs. you could not go through the initial screening stage with a chronological summary of the type, and you want to make it more "shock." you want to get a job at which you think you have done it, but your working life has little to do with this particular work. This type of resume allows you right from the start to draw your attention to your real achievement, as well as professional skills and experience that you can offer. Summary of the combined type is quickly gaining popularity among professional recruiters and applicants.
